This is a very fine early muromachi yari which is papered to the Kashu (Kaga Aoe) school . The configuration is hirasankaku (three sided) with an extended kerakubi as one will find on earlier yari. The hamon is a suguha-based notare in nie with kinsuji. The jihada is predominantly masame. The boshi is komaru nagaku kaeru. On one side is a horimono executed as a bohi ending in kakudome
