Internationally acclaimed muralist and painter, Gerard D'Alton Henderson, is widely regarded and celebrated for his various creations worldwide, most particularly in Southeast Asia.

For decades, Gerard has been creating images of beauty and power. Primitive art forms and forgotten civilizations are his inspiration. A deeply spiritual man, Gerard has made pilgrimages to various shrines and temples throughout Central Asia.

As the director of the Kyoto Museum of Modern art wrote: 'Gerard paints with a Mongol ferocity, but instead of a wild assault on the canvas, his work is characterized by a delicate refinement of line and detail; his paintings are charged with a passionate effort to capture primordial force, yet they retain a dreamlike harmony of color and surface texture.'

A man of diversity, Henderson is widely acclaimed in Europe for designing and producing the stained glass windows for the Chapel of La Sagrada Familia at Seu-de-Urgel in the Spanish Pyrenees.

According to Juan Eduardo Cirlot, one of Spain's most notable critics, 'Henderson uses the techniques of the Western abstract, delves into the treasure chest of the Orient, and emerges with a fresh and universal vision.'

Gerard is well known for the creation of his fabulous murals and reliefs worldwide, including the foyer of the Lippo Centre (formerly the Bond Centre) in Hong Kong; the Mandarin Grill and lobby of the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong, a 5,380 square foot sculptural relief along the facade of the Singapore Hilton, an eight-meter long mural in stone for the lobby of the Peace Hotel in Beijing, a three-dimensional hanging sculpture at Beijing Airport, and his Anatomy of Time Mural in the MetLife Building in New York. Gerard's paintings are in important private collections worldwide.
