Sukesada Katana

This is a very good katana in original Higo koshirae by the well-known Shinto Bizen smith Kozuke Daijo Sukesada. Sukesada was considered to be the most important Yokoyama smith, listed in Fujishiro page 487, Toko-Taikan page 333, and 80 points in Hawley page 774 # SUK 893 and rating Jo-saku in Fujishiro. The nakago is ubu with one mekugi ana. Blade is strong and healthy with no kizu. Thick Kasane. Nagasa is 28 1/8 inches.Strong ara Ji-nie and Tobi-yaki. Muneyaki falls half way down the Mune. Excellent Hada. Kanbun 1661.
